Ok well i would agree with everyone here about the guppy being the hardiest fish you can buy, not much else will survive where these happy critters cant.

I think as you are a newby to aquariums the whole buying.

They do best in a tank with no "fussy" things like slender plants or ornaments.

They prefer a medium texture substrate because theyre great diggers, but do like wood or rock platforms that create a cave.

I was just reading some articles about PH and whatnot (Randy Holmes Farley stuff) and started to think about CO2. If algae gives off Co2 at night time when it isn't photosynthesizing, then the chaeto ball in my fuge is doing just that during the day when the fuge light is off and the display light is on .. thus, helping to fuel algae in my display tank! Am I wrong? Or is it too insignific.
